In Jennifer Garner's latest movie, Peppermint, we finally have a good use of the trailer to the trailer.  The audio bite used from Jennifer Garner is not repeated in the body of the main trailer.  It's additive without being repetitive.  The other trailers this week are refreshing in their takes on genres that could use new takes.

The Sisters Brothers gives a comedic twist to a gritty western while preserving the verisimilitude of a Westworld real western.

We end with the The Happytime Murders that places your beloved Muppets in an awkward position, but they have a Melissa McCarthy to guide them, which is right in her wheelhouse and looks to deliver another solid comedic performance.

Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla.

THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is a filthy comedy set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.
